What do I mean by differently-wired?

By 'differently-wired' I mean neurodivergent, perhaps having unique strengths in areas like creativity, problem-solving, or sensory processing, or experiencing challenges in areas like social interaction or attention. Possibly people with autism ADHD or giftedness or twice-exceptional people.

What do I mean by giftedness?

Giftedness means having an exceptionally intense responses to stimuli in one or more of areas including intellectual, emotional, imaginational, sensory and psychomotor. Gifted people can be deeply engaged, highly sensitive and sometimes overwhelmed by their own thoughts and feelings, often feeling simultaneously both ‘too much’ and ‘not enough’.

What do I mean by twice-exceptional people?

A twice-exceptional (2e) person is someone who is both gifted and has a neurodivergent condition, such as ADHD, autism or dyslexia. Thus learning and daily life can both be challenging, as the strengths and challenges may mask each other.
